How to choose the right size
Start by measuring your child and choosing the appropriate size according to height, use the size chart to double check size and your good to go. Sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are not strictly related to age. Each size should fit your child (if proportionate to our chart) for about 2-1.5 years. It’s great to start dressing your kids in leather just as they are learning to crawl the loose cut will accommodate nappies – and simply roll-up the legs when baby is tiny and unroll as needs be. Our sleeveless design leaves plenty of room for growth. Braces allow for generous, elasticised waist.
Play is Work garments are cut to grow with your child.
When in doubt chose the size up and your child will get plenty of wear from it.

About my order
Can I order by phone?
We don’t take phone orders. If you are having trouble with our website, we can help. Simply send us an email at hello@play-is-work.com.
Can you gift wrap my order?
All our garments come wrapped in our special Play is Work packaging. This includes a custom-made tote for you to use and reuse. We can include a small gift card with a personal message if you like – just send us an email along with your order to hello@play-is-work.com, include your message in the email and please write your order reference number, the words "gift card message" and your last name in the subject line of your email.
Why can I not add the item I want to my shopping cart?
If the item you want to purchase doesn't have an "Add to cart" button, it is most likely out of stock. Check the "Details" section on the product page to see when it'll be available. We are happy to take pre-orders on out-of-stock items, the waiting time is 4-6 weeks.

To wash or not to wash?
Care is easy. Just follow our care instructions and you’ll find your garment will only get better and better with time. Each garment comes with a little care booklet made especially for you to keep and make care even easier, be sure to pass this on with your garment.
Who makes your garments?
Our leather is tanned by one of the oldest, finest tanneries in Italy. We pass each hide on to our trusted leather crafts workshop in East London. The workshop has been running for two generations and the team has been through all the dramas of recent downsizing in the industry and the shift of much of England's leather manufacturing to India and China. Now they are back and growing as we grow. Working with local craftspeople means we are constantly in and out of the workshop, maintaining a close relationship with our manufacturing partners who understand our product and style.

Where can I see Play is Work in person?

What payments methods does Play is Work accept?
We accept electronic payments via Paypal and all major Credit Cards.
All payments are processed through Paypal’s secure checkout system.
First-time orders must be sent to the cardholder's billing address or work address.
Where do I enter my discount code?
If you have a discount code, you will need to start the checkout process before you can claim your discount. Pressing 'checkout' will first take you to Paypal where you need to input your credit card details as well as shipping and billing addresses. Don't worry, payment won't be taken yet. Confirming your details with Paypal will automatically take you back to our website where you can pick a shipping rate and finally enter your discount code. Your total purchase price will be recalculated and only after pressing 'complete my purchase' will you be making your payment.

Which countries does Play is Work ship to?
Play is Work ships to the UK, all European countries and the rest of the world. So basically everywhere.
How long does delivery take and how much will it cost?

Is my package insured and do I need to sign for my order?
All your purchases are insured against theft and accidental damage while in transit from our studio to your shipping address.
Once your package has been delivered and signed for at your specified address, it is no longer covered.
To ensure that your purchases arrive safely and in perfect condition, we require proof of delivery for all our orders and we're unable to authorise delivery without a signature.
How much duty and tax will I have to pay?
All orders shipped by Play is Work are DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). Product prices displayed are exclusive of all taxes and duties, as well as UK VAT.
Orders dispatched to destinations outside the EU may be subject to import duty and taxes.
When your order arrives at its destination you will be required to pay all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to in order to release your order from customs. This may extend your delivery time.
Please be aware that if you don't choose to pay the import taxes we reserve the right to charge any additional costs incurred by Play is Work to you. Orders shipped to the USA under the value of $200 will not have import duty applied under the terms of an informal entry (or entry of shipment for personal use).
How will I know you have received my order?
After you place your order, you will receive an email from Play is Work acknowledging receipt of your order.
Should any of the items you have ordered be no longer available, we will contact you immediately to see if you would like a replacement item or a refund.
After your credit card details have been verified and approved, and payment taken, you will receive a confirmation email from the payment processing company.
When your order is ready to ship, you will receive an email from Play is Work’s shipping partner Royal Mail with your details and tracking number (if relevant) and contact information for the order.
Can I change or amend my order once it has been placed?
Before your purchases have been packed up for dispatch we can add or cancel an item, change the size or edit your shipping details. Once they are wrapped and packaged you will have to make a new order. Unfortunately, we are unable to combine orders.

Can I change my shipping address after my order has been made?
Once your order has been dispatched, we are unable to redirect your delivery to another address. All deliveries require a signature. Read more information on shipping.
